Yazmik’s life journey led her to develop a passion for helping others heal and overcome different life struggles. She has experience working with veterans, adults, children and families. Yazmik utilizes different modalities, including CBT, Solution-focused, person-centered therapy, and other trauma-specific modalities. She has a multicultural background and is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys outdoor activities.

Heather is interested in being a part of each person’s journey, be it a major life decision with difficulty or working through the internal struggles of living life when you aren’t where you want to be. Having worked with a variety of ages and cultures through the years, Heather enjoys talking through, directing persons to areas of concern, and being a support as you find a new normal and finding tools and resources to assist you in your journey. Heather encourages clients to lean into their protective factors and learn how to navigate through risk factors or struggles they are experiencing. Heather respects the realness of depression, anxiety and grief often being underlying factors in the struggles we sometimes find ourselves. Heather enjoys walking with clients through this journey to find hope and the ability to live life on purpose, finding the ability to take control in what often seem like out of control situations.

Working through life's challenges can be difficult. My approach is to create a space where you are safe, heard, and given unconditional support as we collaboratively plot the course forward.

Phillip is an eclectic therapist that aims to help clients find the source of life’s traumas. With solution-focused methods Phillip helps clients explore their inner thoughts and feelings, while equipping them with tools to help bring those thoughts back into alignment with their desired goals. Working for Andrews University and the Boys and Girls Club of America has given Phillip the necessary experiences to be able to connect with people across different demographics and throughout the various developmental stages of life.

Meeting people and hearing their stories is one of my greatest joys. I consider it an honor to support others through the challenges life can bring and to walk alongside them as they pursue growth and change. I work with clients of all ages who are ready to make meaningful shifts in their lives. My approach is eclectic because I value the freedom to draw from a variety of therapeutic methods, tailoring each session to my clients’ unique strengths, goals, and personal vision for change.

Counselor Cousins is dedicated to providing compassionate support as you navigate life’s many challenges. Using psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and attachment-based approaches, she helps you explore how past experiences shape your present emotions and relationships, empowering you to break unhelpful patterns and create meaningful change. Ellecia has experience working with diverse populations, offering a
culturally responsive and affirming space where you feel heard and supported. She is passionate about helping couples improve communication, deepen emotional bonds, and navigate conflict. 

Dr. Smith enjoys spending his energy investing in the healing of individuals and helping them reach their full potential. As the founder of Life Psychology, he remains dedicated to working with people to overcome life’s obstacles and demands. Now semi-retired, Dr. Smith enjoys travelling to various places across the United States with family, as well as taking frequent trips to Alaska.
