Is counseling right for me?Counseling is helpful for many people for many different reasons, but it only works if you are ready to commit to the process of change. When you work with a professional, they can help to provide insight, understanding, and a safe environment so that you can process life’s difficulties. When this happens, growth and healing are possible. Therapy is right for anyone who is ready to take initiative and work towards lasting changes for their life.

What does confidentiality mean?Confidentiality is the backbone of the therapeutic process. This means that all aspects of your participation in therapy are confidential as outlined by federal and state law. These laws apply to such things as scheduling appointments, content disclosed in therapy sessions, and all records and documentation. Your therapist will cover the details of confidentiality, including law mandated limitations in your first therapy session.
